I was pleasantly surprised when Mike replied to my email on a Saturday. Many companies sort of avoid small jobs. Not Mike! He replaced my garbage disposal and cleared couple of drains, explaining everything as he went along. Made time to fix a dishwasher issue while he was there. So friendly and capable, I'm looking into a few other jobs for him. 100% recommend!

Flooring laid to last - prepped right so it does not lift, gap or squeak a year in. The floor is only as good as what it was laid over.

What goes into a flooring job that holds up?
A flooring installation comes down to two things: the material laid straight and tight, and the subfloor under it prepped so it stays that way. A floor that lifts at the seams, gaps in winter or squeaks underfoot is almost never the plank's fault - it is a subfloor that was not leveled, cleaned or acclimated before the floor went down.
We prep first and lay second. That means checking the subfloor is flat and sound, letting material acclimate where it needs to, and laying it with the right expansion and fit so the floor you walk on next year is the floor we installed - not a version of it that has started to move.

1
Tell us the rooms
Tell us the spaces, the flooring you are considering, and what is down now. Photos help us judge the subfloor and the removal.
-
2
Prep the subfloor
We level and sound the subfloor and acclimate the material first, because that is what decides whether the floor stays flat and quiet.
-
3
Lay it to last
We lay it tight with the right expansion, finish the transitions and trim, and leave you a floor that does not move on you.

Flooring questions we get asked
Straight answers, including the ones people would rather not hear.
How much does flooring installation cost in South Jersey?
It depends on the square footage, the material, and how much prep and old-floor removal is involved. Send the rooms and what is down now and we will give you a real number that accounts for the subfloor, not just the planks.
Why do floors lift, gap or squeak later?
Almost always the subfloor - not leveled, not cleaned, or material that was not acclimated before it went down. The plank takes the blame, but the prep is the cause, which is why we do that part before anything is laid.
Do you remove the old flooring?
Yes, removal and haul-out of the old floor is part of the job, and it is also when we get a real look at the subfloor to catch anything that needs addressing before the new floor goes over it.
What flooring do you install?
LVP, laminate and plank are the common calls. Tell us what you are considering and we will be honest about how it will hold up in that room, especially in a space that sees water.
Drain it. Fix it. Finish it.
Tell us the rooms and the flooring you want, and we will lay it so it stays put.
